Chapter 2 of Year 1: "The Sargent Family and A Very Shocking Surprise"

Before reading, please read this. I initially planned to do the train journey and the Diagon Alley in this chapter. But I thought about it and decided to add something in between the running away from home and the Diagon Alley. Hope that you'll enjoy this chapter and hope that you are not to disappointed! :)

I sat on the cold and breezy street for hours, waiting on Hagrid. Much to my dismay, the rain started to pour heavily and I had not taken my raincoat. Scottish end of August was bound to be cold and windy. The suitcase was dark pink instead of bright and happy pink because of the heavy downpour. My phone just about died because it was not in charge for at least 13 hours but what can you expect from a HTC that does not last more than 12 hours of light use.
I was shivering with cold from the wind and rain.I curled up into a ball with my stomach aching of hunger and I had no money with me as I had no time to think about of what to take with me.
'Next time I want to run away from home, I need to remember to take some money. Maybe then my stomach won't be screaming: "food now" every five seconds' I thought to myself. I was exhausted.

A couple of minutes later, every single light on the street went off. It was strange. One by one, the lights flickered and turned black. The rain turned heavy again and lightening bolts struck the hillsides and a nearby forest. But it was soaking wet, so it could not set the forest ablaze. Then a huge motorbike came down from the sky -out of  nowhere- and landed right in front of me.
"Julie, right?" The huge guy on the motorbike said.
I stood up with my mouth open wide in shock and fear! He was taller than anyone I ever met before
"Ye....Yeah. Who...who are you?" I asked while slowly coming closer.
"Rubeus Hagrid. Thought that I told ya that I will be comin' for ya at three, did I?" He replied
I checked my watch. Exactly three am.
"Hey Hagrid. Can we go before we wake up everybody on the street?"
"Even though they wake up they'll have no idea of what had happened thanks to the power cut"
"Was the power cut your doing in some form?"
"Smarter than I thought. Yeah, it was me. Hop on and put your suitcase on the metal rest. It won't fall out"
I walked up to my suitcase and grabbed it by the plastic handle and dragged it over to the motorbike and placed it on the rest and jumped on to the back of the motorbike.
"Hold on Jules, we are going up"
I held on to the side handles of the motorbike as Hagrid sped of and the motorbike rose high up into the sky, above the clouds and flew along the sky. I literally touched a cloud. I felt the softness and the fluffiness of it and it was perfectly white.
We flew for some hours and I, for the first time, had seen the glowing colours of sunset from outside of a plane. It was marvelous.
"Hagrid, where exactly are we going?" I asked him
"We are going to a home of a half wizard-half Muggle family. I already spoke to them to give you a place to stay for the days before Hogwarts. I will let you rest up there and then you'll go down to the Diagon Alley with them and I will meet you there. Coming in for the landing."
I held on tight to the metal handles as the descend into the front of the house was sharp and quick. I tried to not to scream so that we would had not been detected. But once every few minutes I gave out a quiet yelp of fear as heights and quick descends were not exactly my best friends.
The bumpy landing gave me a little feeling of nausea but had quickly worn off.
I got off and stared. The house was giant and gorgeous. It almost looked like a palace. Two balconies on the top floor with ball-shaped lights twisted around the balcony supports and purple curtains on the either sides of the windows.

I walked through the green metal gate into a magnificently gorgeous garden. It did put my mom's garden to shame. Plants from all over the world, small lights along the middle isle leading to the house, a glasshouse filled with even more exotic plants and a glass table with an umbrella in the middle of it. The house was nothing in comparison with my house in Scotland.
I ran up slowly to the door with a small glass window and knocked.
A woman a tiny bit taller than me opened the door.
"You must be Julie! I am very happy to meet you! Please come in!" She smiled and moved out of the door to let me in.
I looked around as I walked though the door. The house was enormous looking and made me think of a palace even more. Leather seats in the living room, wooden stairs, red carpets running throughout the house and windows with patterns and colourful mosaic effect windows on the ground floor.
"Welcome to our home Jules! I hope that you'll enjoy your stay. The toilet is on the ground floor and your bedroom is on the second floor, first one on the left. My name is Emilia by the way! As you learn your way around the house you'll meet the rest of my family!" Emilia said
"Thank you so much Emilia."
"Breakfast is in half an hour and then we will let you have some rest"

I slowly made my way with the suitcase up the narrow staircase leading to the floor that my room was on. As I stepped through the second floor door, a boy my age came out of his room.
As soon as we looked at each other we stood there staring. We looked so much a like, it looked like as if we were twins.
"Hello" he said
"Um, hi!" I replied
"Who are you? We were told that we will be having a person staying with us until Hagwarts starts. Is this you?"
"My name is Julie. Julie Sharmons"
The boy stood there with his mouth open wide.
"No way. My name is Daniel Sharmons!"
I then opened my mouth wide in shock.
"When is your birthday?"
"Third of September 2003. You?"
"Same!"
We sort of looked at each other, still quite surprised at how many similarities we shared. Birthday, looks and possibly...
"Hold on a second. Who are your parents?" He asked
"Dona and Adam Sharmons. Yours?"
"My parents are Dona and Adam as well. Apparently they gave me away for adoption a month after birth"
"We are brother and sister! Twins of that!" I shouted and ran up to hug him.
Then Emilia came up.
"Excuse me?" She asked looking at us.
"I'm sorry Emilia but we have just found out that we are siblings!" I pulled myself away and we stood right next to each other.
Emilia stood there with her mouth open in shock.
"Oh my goodness! You are right!"

After that I went to unpack and went down for breakfast and met the rest of the family. The children: Diana, Emilo(named after his mother), Clair, Andy and Yulia and Walter(he was the husband of Emilia and father of the previously named kids.)
Then went to sleep for six hours. It was about seven so woke up at 1pm.

Next chapter is their trip down to Diagon Alley and Julie learning all the spells! Stay tuned! (And I promise that it will be the chapter on Diagon Alley this time!) :)
