Chapter 13 of Year 1: "The Kidnap"

Lat time we left off, Dan and Julie were finally talking. Jules doesn't trust her brother, but takes him back after all. Is she right in doing so or is it one of those Inquisitorial tricks?

I got up bright and early the next morning (a Saturday may I add) to find out more about the Ministry of Magic and the Department of Mysteries. I scrolled through at least 4 books on the Ministry but NOTHING on the Department of Mysteries, as if no one wanted anyone to know what exactly was hidden in it or what it was even.
"Oh come on Jules! Give the Ministry a break. You've been going through those books without going in deeper" Vera said
"Deeper... that's it. I must go right into the source!" I replied
"Go to the Department of Mysteries?! You have got to be kidding.... count me in!"
"Me too!" Dan said
"OK. We have to set out now. Let's pack everything and we will be spied on by your fellow 'Inquisitorials'!
"No worries. I've quit but didn't mention a word about it to those freaks. Anything I say to them is like an order. They respect me"
"You thought about this for a bit, didn't you? I can see you are FINALLY thinking!"
"Shut up!"

We walked up the statue of the Witch of Astronomy.
"What are you doing with those misfits?" A guy from behind asked
"I found them here. But I will personally deal with them, Gregory."
"Whatever you say, chief" Gregory said and walked off.
"Oh so you're a chief now?" Vera asked
"Ahoy, Chief Daniel Sharmons has just entered the yacht!" I giggled
"Shut it!" Daniel replied sarcastically as he opened the passageway. The corridor was much noisier than  from when I last went.
"Ohh, so cold! It's as if someone opened a drafty window down here!" Vera said
"I know! It wasn't like that the last time I've been down here!" I answered.

As we walked through, we noticed the dark and mysterious panels with dark green glow. Vera tried to walk up to find out about what it actually was. But the second she touched it, the dark panel glowed brighter green and gave out a hissing noise. Then, the panel turned into a snake head and launched at us. All of us gave out a quiet scream as we dived to the ground to avoid getting hit.
I laid there on the ground, feeling slightly confused about the whole thing.
"Julie, are you ok?" Vera asked
"Yeah, little freaked out but yeah, totally!" I replied
"What just happened?" Daniel asked
"This is not in here by accident. There is something hiding behind that wall. Something that the Ministry would much rather for us not to know!" I replied
"For our insanity's sake, I would rather not to know either!" Vera said
"OK, let's get on, you guys! We haven't got all day. Umbridgers and the Prefects start their duties at 6pm after dinner." Daniel said and we walked on.

"Wow, the Ministry is even cooler than I imagined." Vera spoken as she gazed at the MoM for the first time.
"Slit up. we might find it faster. And let's be as careful as as we can be. Department of Mysteries is heavily guarded by powerful spells that can only be broken by powerful counter-charms, of which I already know. The Three Protagos are some of the protective spells that are used there. I finally managed to find that out via the Hogwarts library. Took a while though!" I explained.
"I'll go through floors 1 to 3, Vera you concentrate on floors 4-6 and Jules you explore floors 7-9. It'll take us less time if we concentrate on them like that." Dan commented
"Let's get to it. But before we do, I have got something for you two!" I said and took out two Sikles.
"Sikles? Why?!" Vera asked
"These are spelled with the Protean Charm, a communication charm which allows us to speak to each other via the coins. Spell  learned a couple of days ago." I replied
"It's genius! Nice work and now, we are set let's go!" Dan said and we split p to the different lifts.

Floor seven wasn't very interesting. Just doors upon doors upon doors of offices and random other things. Nothing to catch the eye to be totally honest with you.
Floor eight had a very interesting factor to it. All doors were made of Sikle-like bronze with elaborate designs on each and every door of any office. The dark theme was giving the floor a bit of a wow factor, I suppose.
Floor nine on the other hand was the "Oh My Gosh" factor. Even more than the floor eight. The deep dark tones of the walls were spectacular. And with me being an art enthusiast, colour mattered a lot. The bright green glow of the lining of the wall was even brighter than before.
Then, a mysteriously dark blue door resided at the end of the corridor. Within the spell of chilled breeze that filled the corridor, I felt that it was the right place.
I took my Sikle out.
"Psst, Vera!" I whispered.
"Julie, what's up?" she asked
"I think I found the Department of Mysteries and fair to say that it is certainly not the kind of place that I'd class as a 'workplace'
"Which floor? I'll let Dan know!"
"Floor nine, just follow the corridor and you will find a dark blue door at the end of it. You'll find me there!"
"OK, see you there!" She finished and I put my Sikle away.

As a walked up to the door, I have seen a transparent, white shield of mixed spell work. The three Protago's and some other very powerful charms and hexes were used to protect the entry to the door.
"Jules!" Dan and Vera whispered as they joined me at the door.
"OK, do your counter-spells so we can get in!" Dan said
I started to cast the counter-enchantments at the shield. Many of them being non-verbal spells and some of them verbal, but were very hard to cast due to the immense strength of the spells and my wand being one of the most powerful, the energy of each charm was hard to control.
The final enchantment and Voila!
"Come on, this is temporary and won't last long." I said as we entered the dark door,
"What happened to the shield?" Vera asked
"Well, because of the counter-enchantments, the shield has been weakened. I will re-strengthen it when we get out." I replied

As we walked through the corridor, it became fairly obvious why it was called Department of Mysteries. Nearly every door was shut. Apart from one.
"The Hall of Prophecy? What is that?" I asked
"Hey,  heard Emilia talk about it once. It is a chamber filled with small crystal balls that include prophecies about specific people. The prophecies are usually made by Sybill Trelawney, the Hogwarts Divinations teacher" Dan replied
"You are brilliant. Now, you don't think that there is one about any of us here, do you?" Vera questioned
"Only way to find out" I said and we began to search for a crystal ball with our name on it. There were at least 6 million of those crystal balls.
"Hey, Julie. I think found yours!" Vera pointed. I took the little crystal ball into my hand and Trelawney's voice came booming at me
"'These children born at the beginning of September will be the ones to inherit their family treasure, something that Draco Malfoy will forever want and won't rest until he gets it. Aunt Eveline's treasure will be hidden from sight and forever stashed away, where no one will know of it's location. Only the children will be in position of regaining this artifact and will only find it when they reach 18."
I stood there staring into the cloudy ball that just said those words.I blinked quickly (which I usually did if I was shocked)

Then a large bang came from the back of the room. I placed the ball on the stand and quickly went into hiding inside the room.
"I know that you are in here, Julie. Come out and face me!" Malfoy said
"How did he find us? What do we do?" Vera panicked as she asked
"You escape and I deal with that low life!" I replied
"No way, last time he left you with a near-broken leg. Together!" Dan said
"No, I am not letting him hurt any of you guys. Go NOW!" I nearly shouted
"OK ok, we're going! Take care and please, come back in one piece!" Vera said
"No promises but I'll try!" I replied as they went away.

I walked to the central path of the Hall of Prophecy.
"Looking for me?" I asked
"Julie Sharmons! Stupefy!" He shouted
"Protago!" I replied
"Avada Kedavra!"
I dodged the Killing Curse by just a millimeter.
"Conjuvictis!"
Malfoy curled up onto the floor in intense pain in the eyes.
"I will get you back for this one!" He shouted
"You keep saying that, it's getting seriously old!"
"Incarcerous!"
My hands, feet and mouth were then tied by by thick, very coarse ropes that were hard to get out of. Malfoy recovered from the eye stinging hex and got up from the floor.
"Prisoner, at last!" He laughed.
I tossed and turned on the floor in fury. I was so angry, furious even.
"At last, Miss Sharmons has finally fell into my hands."
I managed to press the coin but it was a bit too late as he apparated out of the Ministry and I dropped my coin in the DoM.

Dan and Vera sharply came through into the room and found my coin.
"Oh man, she was kidnapped. What do we do!" Vera cried
"We have to find the wand's trail, you know, the Trace!" Dan replied
"Right, but only the Ministry can actually trace these things."
"We might not, but I'm sure Hermione Granger will! She knows Julie now, so she'll hopefully help us!"

The Malfoy Manor, to which we have apparated to, wasn't exactly pleasant. It was dusty and dirty. It was a small place with just one window to the entire house.
"Welcome, to the Malfoy Manor. This is where my family lived. And now, it will be your prison. And eventually your killing place" Malfoy cackled.

Oh, it's getting very interesting. With Jules kidnapped, Dan and Vera will have no choice but to tell Hermione, Harry or Ron or all of them about what they were doing in the DoM. But how will this part of the story end? Will Julie ever escape the Malfoy Manor? Will Dan and Vera with maybe thee compaany of the three famous wizards be able to free her? How will Malfoy react Julie's brother being still alive and Draco's reaction to meeting Harry, Ron and Hermione again after so long?
Find out in the next chapter!

Chapter 12 of Year 1: "Play The Quidditch Right!"

Next morning was the Quidditch match Gryffindor vs Ravenclaw. I sat on the other side of the stadium to avoid Dan. I was still in hate and shock about what he had done.

The wooden benches weren't very comfortable to sit on and we were there for an hour.

The match started early due to the weather forecast. It was supposed to rain at ten so they started the match at nine to avoid the rainy weather. Both teams flew out of the inside of the podium with our captain Amy Leene Hansen bowing her head to Ravenclaw seeker Walker Salomon. The teams then began flying about trying to score into one of the three rings on the other side of the stadium and the seekers looking for the Golden Snitch. If caught it secured the win and 150 points for the house.

Then green lightening bolts came out of no where and hit Amy. I stood up and pointed my wand at her.

"Arresto Momentum!" I shouted. Amy fell at slower pase and landed on the grassy pitch safe and sound.

"Green bolts. I must get Vera now!" I thought and left the podium in a great hurry.

I rushed to the podium she was at and ran over to her.

"Hey Jules. What's happening?" She asked

"Death Eaters. How often are lightening bolts bright green?" I replied

"Let's go!" She finished and we ran out of the podium.

We hid beneath the podiums to talk.

"What's the plan then?" She asked

I looked around and found two brooms .

"Easy. We use the brooms to fly high into the sky, find them and cast them out of the sky!"

"Excellent! But... My broom flying skills are just as good as a penguin trying to fly." Vera said

"We are only flying up. No actual turns, dives or anything 'fancy'" I replied.

We ran on to the stadium with everybody looking at us. We hopped onto two brooms that were left by two players and flew up.

I noticed Barty Crouch Jr about to cast a spell at us.

"Petrificus Totalus!" I said and before he could even block it, the spell hit him and he fell to the ground with everybody seeing proof of the Death Eaters' return

"Draco Malfoy..." I whispered as I noticed a guy with platinum blond hair casting his spells to the stadium.

"Malfoy, nice to see you again!" I said calmly

"Who are you?" He asked

"Recognize this?" I said and showed him my wrist.

"Julie Sharmons! After all those years, you are still alive!" He groaned

"Yes, and I am ready to send you to where Harry sent your master!"

"Let's sort it on the ground, right here and right now!" He shouted

"You got it, snake head!"

I flew to the ground and he followed. After we got off the brooms, we stood facing towards each other with me staring at him in anger.

We pointed wands at each other.

"Stupefy!" I shouted

"Protago!" He replied and spell hit me right back. I fell to the ground

"That's it!!!! Sectumsempra!" I shouted, not knowing the full effects of that spell.

The spell hit Draco and he collapsed to the ground.

"You filthy Mudblood! You will pay for thus dearly!" Malfoy coughed out from his pain inflicted body. Blood came out of his side as well as his arm and several points of the leg.

"Never mess with an angry me, I tell you now!" I warned him. He stared at me.

"Jules, what happened?" Vera asked.

I couldn't reply. The effects of the spell were clear. Internal injury but only a few external symptoms.

I got up from the ground but limping on one leg. The fall has broken my leg.

"Lemme help you!" She said and offered a shoulder to lean on while I tried to jump on one leg.

That night I sat in the common room with Ministry of Magic - Uncovered Truth on my lap. But I was getting no where in finding out about either the charm(that I wore on my neck) or the Department of Mysteries.

"Hey Jules, can we talk?" Daniel came up to me.

"Sure, like I have choice in a matter" I replied

"Look, after seeing you in the field.. I quit the Umbridge's Pet Squad. I wanted you to know that I am here every step of the way with you. We'll take her out of commission, together!" He said

I looked at him.

"I'm not convinced. How can I know that you aren't just saying that so you could tell Umbridge of my every plan?" I asked

"I actually quit. Making people suffer made me suffer inside. Seeing you go through the torture of the quills killed me inside a little bit"

"Yeah right. Especially since you laughed when they took Vera and I away for punishment"

"I realized that this was going way too far"

"Ok. I'm not convinced but I'll take you back. For now!" I said and hugged him.

I hope you liked it! Was Julie right or wrong about trusting Dan? Was she right to give him a chance or not? Comment below! And please Google+ it too! Thank you and I am sorry you had to wait for this so long. Was really busy this past two months. I'll try to write more stuff on here!
