"Today marks a breakthrough in the magical universe. The Minister for Magic and the British Prime Minister, Sir James Hillnight (made up name and minister) have been in talks. They have agreed that, because of the secrecy the wizarding world has been in for all those years, that it is the end of it. Wizards and witches are no longer persecuted in the Muggle communities and we can go out to them, and freely mention we are witches and wizards. You can now bring your Muggle parents into the Diagon Alley, but not yet to the schools. You are now allowed to use magic outside of school, in Muggle or wizarding worlds, at any age. Use of Unforgivable Curses will be prosecuted at the highest order" She spoken with dignity and stood completely upright.

"Just to mention, the Minister for Magic has now aligned our school holidays with the Muggle world. No class today!" McGonagall jumped in to the intercom.

"Let's go to the ball! We need to have dresses and suits, though! And masks, masks are a required part of the masquerade ball!" Julie said.
"We can go Diagon Alley and buy some!" Daniel replied
"Daniel... It's a Muggle ball not a Wizarding Christmas ball! We can't have wizard robes, we need to attempt to be like them at least! We would look like little idiots." I replied
"Fine." he huffed back.
*Tazzy*
We went to Edinburgh City Center to buy some pretty awesome dresses and suits.
"This is exciting! My first real Muggle event! I can't wait!" I said in delight
"Masquerade balls are quite fun. They're expecting it to be a ceilidh as well, so that is pretty exciting as well" Julie replied
"A ceilidh?" Dan asked
"A ceilidh is a traditional Scottish dance event. You get taught dances during primary and high school" I replied
"This is thrilling!" Susie said
"I know. I am super excited myself!
I looked at a person who walked past us. His energy was very negative. And I have seen a wand sticking out of his back pocket.
"Guys, that guy gave me the creeps. I will not put my finger on it, but he might be one of the Death Eaters! He has a wand!" I said without drawing breath
"Tazzy, calm down! Dan replied
"Dan, seriously! He could be! Let's be vigilant about it at the masquerade tonight." Susie replied
We nodded as we walked to the train station to get to Julie's town. Julie has no clue of what had happened in the shop with the man that walked past us.
*Dan*
When we arrived at Julie and Oliver's high school, I noticed just how different it is to Hogwarts. Everything was so... old fashioned. Although, technology is far more advanced in the Muggle world than in the magical world. WAY forward.
"Do these stairs move like in Hogwarts?" I asked after seeing stairs going up by themselves.
"Haha, no no! They are escalators. You stand on a step and they take you to the next floor in a linear way." Julie giggled.
"Okay!"
*Tazzy*
"Oh my gosh, this place is amazing! It puts Hogwarts decor to shame!" I said while looking around the hall. The hall was decorated with a lot of amazing decorations. People's costumes were amazing, The masks people worse were gob smacking. The music that was playing was really funky. Kinda sounded country to me at first.
"Anyone up for checking out the raffle table?" Julie asked
"Sure!" We answered in unison.
We walked over to the raffle table. There were loads of things I have never seen before. But one thing that caught my eye was a book. In a leather jacket, titled "Wizards Cause Chaos" by Amaryl Destiny Pollins. A witch living in a Muggle community for about 50 years.
"Guys, look!" I said and pointed out the book.
"That is my ticket number!" Dan replied.
After Dan exchanged the ticket for the book, we immediately went into a quieter corner to look at it. The book had detailed chaos that the wizarding world had caused in the Muggle world and why the whole decision to allow magic in the Muggle world is a bad idea.
"Holy crap, this book is totally anti magic, and coming from a witch , too!" Julie said.
"A famous one at that. Thing is, my mother knows Amaryl. And I know for a fact that Amaryl has NOT written a book in about 4 years and this book was released this year!" Susan replied.
"I think someone either had her under the Imperio curse." Dan suggested.
"Someone PLANTED it here. And I think it might be the guy from the shop earlier...." I said.
"I TOLD YOU IT WAS A NOBODY!" Dan exclaimed.
"Daniel!" Julie and Susan hissed.
"I'm gonna go to the bathroom real quick!" I said and left without warning.
I felt strong negative energy in the air but went into the bathroom.
I stood and looked at myself in the mirror. There, I noticed a dark, hooded figure through the open cubicle door.
"All right, come out." I demanded.
The hooded figure stepped out of the shadows of the cubicle and took their hood off.
"Malfoy. I should have known." I said
"Well done kid. Where is Julie and her two siblings?" He asked
"I'm not gonna tell you! Stupefy!" I yelled and he was thrown back into the cubicle.
"You little girl." he said and pointed his wand at me and moved it up. I was dangling in mid-air. He then pushed his wand towards me and I was thrown into the mirror, shattering it in the process.
"Tell me where she is...." He said as I got up, with loads of bleeding coming from my face, neck and hands.
"As if. Sectumsempra!" I yelled, and moving my wand in a slash. Malfoy had immediately fell to the ground and began bleeding.
"You... I will get you for this." He said from painful panting.
I ran out of the bathroom, leaving trails of blood behind with each step.
I cast a non verbal healing charm to stop the bleeding. Sure, it left scars. But glass and bleeding were gone.
"Stupefy" Malfoy yelled from behind me. I hit the nearby wall with brutal force.
He came up and pointed a wand to my neck.
"You will pay for that spell."
I could not move. I could barely see what was going on. I was disorientated.
*Susie*
"Guys, where is Tazzy? She had missed the whole ceilidh!" Julie asked.
"Wait..." Oliver said.
*Oliver*
It was as if I could hear Taz scream from a mile with perfect clarity.
"Oliver?" someone asked. I don't know who, as I was paying attention to the screaming.
"OLIVER!" Julie yelled
"Sorry. I can hear Tazzy screaming. I can hear it. Come on!"
"You ain't going anywhere." three guys from the table came up and pointed wands at us.
"No wonder we are alone in the room. Death Eaters have returned." Dan said. Now, five of them surrounded us.
*Tasman*
I cast a silent Conflagration charm to set him on fire. I managed to get up and get away from the scene, as I had no other choice. When I came back to the hall, all of my friends were surrounded by Death Eaters and Malfoy appeared behind me.
"That's frigging it. LUMOS TOTALEM!" I yelled. The intense light from the wand dispersed all of the death eaters and Malfoy.
"Tazzy! Oh my goodness, what had happened to you?" Susan asked
"Malfoy threw me at a mirror in the bathroom and at a wall with the Levicorpus and Stupefy charms. I'm okay. Are you guys okay?" I asked back
"We're fine! Let's get out of here!" Oliver replied and we left the school. I was limping on the way home because of hitting the wall and still pain from the mirror shards.
