*Julie*
After the masquerade, we became weary of essentially everyone. Our close knit group stuck together as much as possible. Harietta, Oliver and Tazzy stuck around each other as they were all in the same year.
"Julie! Bloody hell, wake up!" my older sister woke me up.
"All right, all right!" I yawned as I awoken. I blinked a few times to let my attention come to the room.
"What's up Susie? It's Saturday...." I asked, taking in a deep breath through another yawn.
"Something odd is going on." She replied
I thought I jumped out of my skin.
"What's going on?" I asked when I sat upright, getting myself out of the covers.
"Hogwarts is incredibly quiet. I mean, we are not yet on Christmas holidays, and the place is empty. Have you not noticed that our dorm is empty?" She replied
I gazed around the dorm and noticed exactly what she was saying.
"Hogwarts is empty! No one in the Great Hall, no one in other dorms.... I spoke to the other portraits and they all said they have not seen a single person going in or out of the dorms! Something incredibly odd is going on here."
"Where's the rest of our bunch?" I asked.
"In the main dorm area, waiting for us." She replied
"You woke them up already? Why have you not woken me up along with them?"
"I thought it might motivate you to get up and get yourself dressed more quickly"
*Susan*
When she was FINALLY ready, we walked downstairs to join Dan, Harietta, Tazzy and Oliver.
"So we have a situation brewing. Let's hope we can find out what is going on" Dan said
"Dan.... Quick question. I have SEEN you with the Umbridge's Pet Squad last night. And you were with a bunch of Death Eaters. This in NOT one of your schemes to get us all into Malfoy's hands, is it?" Oliver pointed out
Dan's soft gaze has turned sharp and shot at Oliver.
"Guys. He is a traitor! I swear I have seen him with that bunch of morons last night!"
"I believe you Oliver. You'd never lie. Dan on the other hand..." Julie said.
*Tazzy*
"STOP FIGHTING! We're in a middle of a Hogwarts wide Crisis and you are arguing?!" I screamed
"Shut up! He betrayed us before. Tasman, stay out of it" Susan hissed at me.
"I'll stay out of your way for good. See you later." I spoke coldly and ran out of the dorm. I was on the mission to find the source of the crisis.... But did not know where to start.
"This place is a ghost town. Let's hope I can find out something to help me find them!" I thought
The silence of the corridors became deeper and more distressing as I went further down into the center of the school.
"Lumos!" I whispered and my wand lit of brightly.
"I need to go and find Harry, Ron and Hermione. They will be able to give me pointers." I thought to myself and followed the empty corridor towards the statue that leads out of the school and directly to the MoM (aka Ministry of Magic.)
"Twilight Rays" I spoke the new password and the statue gently moved. I walked into the passage way. I walked just a tiny bit of the way in when I heard.
"Get back here Tasman! Master Malfoy wants you!" my childhood friend shouted. I began to run quicker and quicker and Emma chased me down the dark tunnel. I tripped and fell to the ground.
"Levicorpus!" she shouted and I was lifted into the air.
"Let me go Emma!" I pleaded
"Master Malfoy would like for me to bring you to him. I shall not deny his request." She replied with a callous smile.
"Okay! Depulso!" I said and the small pillar next to Emma crumbled down, falling on top of her. The spell that held me in the air ended and I ran further down the tunnel and eventually I found the ministry of magic.
Looked behind me to see if she was behind me as more times that I looked forward. I was terrified. But, I became confident that I'd lose her in that fortified crowd of witches and wizards.
I walked up to the desk.
"Good morning, young lady. May I be of assistance?" An older woman spoke from behind the desk.
"Hi! Yes, my name's Tasman. I am looking to speak to Mrs Hermione Weasley. It is an emergency" I replied.
"Of course! She has moved to floor five, room 245. She, along with Mr Potter and Mr Weasley now work in the same room. Follow the path to the elevators that you see at the other end of this corridor *she pointed at a left hand side corridor* and turn right after you get off at floor 5. Please be aware that Department of Mysteries is now located on that floor too." She replied
"Thank you so much! I appreciate all your help" I said my goodbye and went on my way, though she looked SURPRISINGLY like me.
I looked back and she simultaneously looked at me. I smiled and went further away and into the lift.
Upon arrival to the fifth floor, I began fearing for what was going on at Hogwarts. And particularly my friends whom I have left arguing.
*Julie*
"Where in the hell did Tazzy go?! Susan...." I screamed at the top of my lungs after hours of arguments.
"I don't know Julie. All I can think of is if she's okay. She's on her own with Death Eaters and Pet Squad lurking around each corner." she answered worriedly.
*Tazzy*
I knocked on the door of room 245 in hopes that ANYONE would answer.
"Come in!" Hermione shouted. I pressed the handle and opened the door.
"Good morning!" Hermione spoke again.
"Good morning, Mrs Weasley. My name is Tasman. I am Julie's friend" I replied
"Please, sit down!"
I walked over to the desk and sat down on this leathery chair she pointed at.
"So, how can I help?" She asked
"We have a situation at Hogwarts. EVERYONE is gone! It's a ghost town. Susie woke me up early to tell me about this strange occurrence."
"It is strange indeed, Tasman. Tasman, I hope that you don't mind me asking, but you have a strange looking scar on your left wrist..." She answered
I hid my wrist quickly to cover it up.
"Yes... well, I was young when a group of dark wizards attacked my home, looking for something. They attacked me to get my mum and dad to talk as to where that thing was."
"I see... Well, I am asking because in the Hall of Prophecy down the corridor, there is a prophecy about a girl with a scar. It speaks of the girl finding whatever Death Eaters were after all those years ago. I believe it is you" she replied
I took a deep breath in
"Well, I am the only person in the school with a scar on my left wrist. But right now, we need your help, Mrs Weasley."
"Yes, of course."
Ron barged into the room.
"Hermione, we have a situation brewing! Hogwarts is a.... oh hello. Sorry to interrupt." he said
"Typical of you, Ronald. Why not just damn knock if you hear a conversation? It's not rocket science" She replied with a straight face.
Ron laughed
"And who are you?" Ron asked
"Ronald!" Hermione hissed
"It's okay Mrs Weasley. Mr Weasley, my name is Tasman Coleman."
Ron dropped whatever he was holding.
"Tasman.... You're the girl I have found the prophecy about just an hour ago!"
"So, it is her." Hermione wondered.
"Okay! We have a situation at Hogwarts. Are you able to help?!" I asked a tiny bit frustrated
"Yes. We'll meet you at the Entrance Courtyard." Hermione answered
"And please, call us by our first names" Ron spoke
"Of course, Ron. I'll see you there!" I said and left.
*Hermione*
"So, we have just had the very Tasman we were looking for for all those years." I said
"Yes, Hermione. This girl has an important future, according to the prophecy." Ron answered
"I am aware, Ron. Malfoy will stop at nothing to catch her. That thing he's looking for is of importance. Like whatever Julie's thing he is looking for is"
"We need to be watchful of things at Hogwarts. It's important we keep watch"
"Yes, Hermione. I am aware!"
"Ronald Weasley"
"Sorry"
*Tasman*
I walked through the pathway to the statue. Being mindful of what Hermione said about the prophecy and that I had an uncanny resemblance to the woman from the front desk, I had my wand out. And for good reason as...
"Stupefy!" I heard and I flipped backwards as the glowing red bolt of spell energy hit me. I have landed on my feet.
"Iona?" I asked as I recognised the voice.
"Tasman, Tasman. My master is very much interested in your capture. Lets make this easy for both of us." She replied with a smirk on her face with the wand pointed at my head. She picked me up single handedly. With the cold hand holding me, and the wand pointed at my skull, I couldn't get away.
But I could use my wand as a distraction. I used a non verbal spell to blast a hole in the wall near us. She jumped out and I ran across the pathway to the castle.
I went straight for the meet up with Harry, Ron and Hermione at the entrance courtyard.
"Wow, this place is a ghost town" Ron commented as I walked out of the castle.
"Really? I couldn't see it with my own two eyes." Hermione commented with a quirky smile.
"Alright you two. Lets get to work!" Harry commented as I approached them.
"Hello Tasman." Hermione greeted me.
"Hi. There has to be some sort of a magical gateway that sent them all somewhere so I and Julie would be an easy catch. A dark portal. I can sense its energy. I think I can sense it down in the Great Hall." I replied.
"Lead the way." Harry spoke.
As we walked through the Great Hall, there was something else that bothered me. It was the arguments my friends were having. But, I needed to not distract myself from the task at hand.
"Here it is." I announced.
"In that door? Isn't this where they keep the trophies?" Ron asked
"Yes." I answered and attempted to open the door.
"Locked. Stand back!!" I turned to the trio and turned back "Bombarda!" I yelled.
There was a swirling, cloud-like hole spiralling further into the room.
"Guys. I am going to need you to stay guard. I've already had adventures from the Death Eaters today. Someone needs to guard the portal so none of them get in." I spoke without turning towards them.
"Harry, Ron, stay behind. I'll go in with her" Hermione commanded.
"Absolutely." Harry replied.
Hermione and I walked into the spirals of the dark portal. It was really cold inside. Freezer cold, almost. The swirls led down the stairs.
"Have you seen anything like this, Hermione?" I asked, with a lowered tone of voice.
"No, we haven't. Though we heard it was possible to create such portals." She answered.
As we walked, we have realised that it is a never ending portal. There were people hanging by their wrists and ankles from the edges.
"Hermione, we need to reverse this. This is a spell that created it. And since it seems like dark magic, two spells at the same time seem necessary."
Hermione nodded "Yes, you're right. Dark magic is at play here. Do you know Lumos Totalem spell?"
"Yeah. I used it at the beginning of the year."
"Good. I will use a non-verbal spell to loosen the magic of the portal. It's you who needs to cast Lumos Totalem to break the spell completely."
"Okay, I will go down to find the centre of the portal. The heart of any portal holds the most magic, dark or good. See you soon!" I replied and I ran further into the portal. After a long, long run... I finally arrived at the heart of the portal.
I tapped my wand to create a wave of light to send Hermione a signal to get the portal breaking into action.
*Hermione*
"Here is the signal. She must've gotten to the heart of the portal." I thought and moved my wand in up and down, and side to side motions to create the non-verbal spell. As I completed the spell, I felt the cold lifting, which means the spell loosened the portal.
*Tazzy*
"Hermione must have completed the spell. Okay, my turn now. Lumos Totalem!" I said and the whole room filled with spell-breaking light. The portal started to break one part a time.
*Harry*
"Ron, look. It's Lumos Totalem. Either Hermione or Tasman have cast it to break the spell of the portal!" I said to Ron.
"Yes, Harry. Watch out!" Ron replied and pulled me to the ground. a wave of dark clouds came over the Great Hall.
"Death Eaters" I said and got up. I held my wand up and shouted "Lumos Totalem"
The spell dispersed the Death Eaters within a heartbeat.
"Good job, Harry." Ron complimented.
"Cheers Ron" I replied
*Tazzy"
I ran out of the portal centre, as it began to disappear. I found Hermione and we ran as fast as we could to get out of the portal disappearing on us.
"There they are!" Ron shouted.
"Are you guys okay?" Harry asked.
I nodded "We are. But where is everybody else?" I asked.
"Look." Hermione pointed out.
"Well done to both you. And thank you." Professor McGonagall
I smiled and looked at Hermione. She smiled back.
"Right, I better go and see what my crazy group of friends are up to. Hopefully, they're not arguing like they were this morning." I said and ran up to the doors.
*Hermione*
"One extraordinary girl, that one" I said
"Yes. She was a little grey mouse at the beginning of the year. And now.... She's completely different." Minerva replied.
"And she is who the prophecy speaks of." Harry said
"What prophecy, Potter?" Minerva asked him.
"There is a prophecy in the Hall of Prophecy at the Department of Mysteries about a girl named Tasman with a scar on her left wrist. And she does. That bunch of kids have different prophecies about them." Ron replied.
"They're all extraordinary. That whole group. Julie and her brother and sister, that boy Oliver, who also has a prophecy about him as well. That whole bunch of kids is special. Though Daniel seems to like to dabble with dark magic, as Julie said. Even that quiet girl Vera has some sort of destiny, according to the prophecy about her." Harry explained.
"We need to keep an eye on all of them, as we cannot let anything happen to them." McGonagall said
"Come on Minerva, have you seen them? They fight like little tigers. They do come up for help when they need us, but they do very well on their own too. They have a spell knowledge that I even didn't have at their age. And that says a lot!" I explained.
*Julie*
"Where is she, it is so late!" I said in dismay as the time was approaching 11pm.
"Chocolate Frogs" I heard a faint voice from behind the portrait and....
"Tazzy!" Susie said and went to hug her.
"Hey guys." she said through deep gasps.
"Tazzy, where have you been? It's been so long since you've left the common room" Oliver asked
"Well.... I and the Golden Trio got to the bottom of the problem and everyone is now back where they were before the portal sucked them out."
"What portal?" Daniel asked.
"In the Quidditch trophy room, there was a dark magic portal. It sucked everyone from the building into its almost never ending dark corridors. We managed to get rid of it. An interesting thing to note is that there is a receptionist at the Ministry of Magic that looks almost like my double."
"Perhaps its your relative? Maybe your long lost mother or her sister?" I questioned.
"I think my parents died when our home was attacked when I was very, very young." I answered.
"You too? Is this friendship a coincidence?" Daniel asked.
"What do you mean?" I replied
"My parents were attacked when I was young and have not seen them since." Vera explained.
"Our home was attacked when I was young, and I was put up for adoption, separated from my sisters" Dan answered
"Same here." Susie said
"I don't know much about my family history, but I think there is something strange about me living with my grandparents." Oliver replied.
*Tazzy*
Wait, what did I just hear? All of us were either separated from our parents or attacked when we were young? Is it a coincidence we are all friends?
"Okay.... This is weird." I said and looked around at our little group.
"You said it, Tazzy. We have a strange coincidence happening here."
"Harietta, what about you?" Julie asked
"I grew up in an orphanage. Like Oliver, I have no clue of how I ended up there,"
I looked at the others in confusion
