I tried to avoid being with my "friends." Julie, Daniel, Susan and Vera were arguing all the time.
"Guys. Enough already!" I screamed after they had yet another argument about Dan's involvement with the Pet Squad.
"Tasman, did we not make it clear to you to stay out of it?" Susie asked.
"Hold on a minute. We are constantly in danger, and you guys argue 24/7. Malfoy is just waiting for it, so that he could get to us when we are not together."
"How does he know exactly where we are every single time, then?" Vera questioned.
"The Trace. He can trace our wands, like the Ministry can" I answered.
"We don't know what Dan tells the Pet Squad. Especially Umbridge" Julie huffed
"I told you, I don't tell them anything. I am telling the truth!" Dan argued.
"Yeah right." Susie replied.
"That's it. I've had enough. I am going my own way. You guys can argue to your heart's content." I said and walked out of the Common Room.
*Julie*
"We better not leave her alone. You know what happened last time." I spoke to the group.
"She and Hermione sorted the portal out. She will be fine." Dan said
"Daniel, you're just saying that for her to get caught by Malfoy, don't you?" Susie asked.
"No!" He argued back.
"We better not leave her alone. You know what happened last time." I spoke to the group.
"She and Hermione sorted the portal out. She will be fine." Dan said
"Daniel, you're just saying that for her to get caught by Malfoy, don't you?" Susie asked.
"No!" He argued back.

I ran downstairs and out of the castle. I went down by the lake and sat down to reflect on everything.
I looked at my own reflection in the shining light of the water. Then..... I saw something.... A figure darting at me from the sky.
"Woah!" I shouted as I moved out of the way.
"We meet again." Malfoy said.
"Back off, Malfoy. I know a ton of spells and I am not afraid to use them!" I replied.
"Fire what you want, but I am here for your mother's locket."
"Locket? What locket? You do know that I have not seen my mother since I was a baby, right? How the hell would I know anything about her, let alone about a locket?!" I replied
"Levicorpus" He said while pointing his wand at me.
I was lifted into the air and was tossing about in wild ways.
He ended the spell when I was above the lake. Malfoy froze the lake's surface. I swam up and beat my hands on the layer of ice that kept the water's surface as tough as metal. I used my wand to poke a hole through the ice and beat my hands on it to break it enough to climb out.
"You.... Will...Pay... For.... This. Lacero Spina!" I said while pointing my wand at him and shivering violently.
Malfoy fell to the ground. This spell causes the bones to crack and make them weaker for a short period of time, but is an extremely painful spell.
"You little rat. Incarcerous!" He replied
Ropes bound my hands and feet, and gag around my mouth, and a blindfold on my eyes.
I can't contact Julie or anyone. How do I get out of this? I thought as Malfoy apparated us out of the castle grounds to the Malfoy Manor.
*Susan*
"We have been fighting for 6 hours now. Has anyone not noticed that Tazzy has been gone for so long?" I asked worriedly.
"She wanted to be on her own. If that's what she wants, let's not force her to be with us" Julie replied.
"Are you KIDDING me?! For God's sake, Julie! She's in danger just like any of us." I raged back while holding back tears. I was worried sick about Tazzy, she's been gone for so long.
*Harietta*
I was hiding in the corner of the room, staying away from the group. Then, I heard something. A faint sound of screaming in my head. The girl's voice was quiet, faint and gentle. Someone is in trouble. But who?
"You okay, Harietta?" Oliver asked
"Y.... Yeah. I just feel tired."
"Harietta, come on. Something is wrong. Tell me." He asked and sat beside me and put his arm around my shoulder.
"I hear faint screaming in my head. Very faint."
"You hear someone screaming in your head? Is this person saying anything?"
"No, just screaming." I replied
"NOO!" I screamed and collapsed to the ground, covering my ears.
"What is happening?" Susie ran over and knelt beside me.
"It's okay Susan. I've got this covered. Make sure that those three don't tear their heads off." I said.
"Okay." She replied and ran back to the chaotic trio.
"The screaming.... It's getting more intense. Come on!" I said and I ran out of the Common Room. Oliver went running after me.
"What is going on, Harietta? Tell me!" Oliver begged.
*Oliver*
I wonder about what is happening with Harietta. I reached for her hand and held it. Her very small hand was shaking with fear. Her eyes..... Were filled with an emptier expression than my Professor Binn's history of magic lesson notes. Her body was moving robotically, and her eyes were darting from one side to the other.
I sat her down on the staircase. And then.....
"Professor McGonagall" I said as she walked out of the door.
"What's happening, Mr Goldenworth?"
"It's Harietta.... She..... She's hearing someone screaming in her head. And then, she herself screamed "NO" out loud. What is going in?"
"It is possible that she has a psychological connection with someone, and she's hearing them." McGonagall replied
"Like Julie, Vera and Susan?"
"Yes"
*Harietta*
I got up rapidly and ran out of the castle, and Oliver followed.
"Harietta, what in the world is going on?" He asked baffled.
"Stop asking me all of those questions and come on.... " I replied and collapsed into his arms.
*Oliver*
"Harietta" I said as I caught her and laid her on the ground. We were now near the Great Lake. Harietta's eyes opened wide sharply.
"Oliver?" Harietta asked in a quiet and unsteady voice.
"Are you okay, Harietta?“ I replied and helped her to sit up.
"I don't know.... It's like I'm feeling someone's physical and mental suffering. The screaming.... It's louder. It sounds like.... NO!"
She screamed again, holding her head as she collapsed to the ground.
'It's..... It's..... It's Tazzy."
"Where is she?!" I questioned loudly in concern
"I don't know. Wait, the only place she could be and be screaming like this is Malfoy Manor... This way!" she replied, holding onto her head.
She led the way through the Forbidden Forest and through a small village until we happened upon a horror movie manor.
*Harietta*
"I am going to cast a spell on both of us." I said
"I am going to cast a spell on both of us." I said
"Why?" Oliver replied in surprise.
"We have got to keep quiet. This spell allows us to talk to one another without anyone else hearing our conversations. Duplex silentium!" I whispered loudly.
"Where in the world did you learn this spell?" Oliver asked
"I read a story book in which a character uses the spell. I was compelled to do a little research on it" I replied as I navigated the quiet and empty hallways of the manor as the screams in my head became almost unbearable.
*Oliver*
Neither of us have ever been here before.... However, she navigated the wild maze of corridors like she knew exactly where she was going. Her face began to turn as white as snow, and her body shook violently every few minutes. Her physiological response to being here was intense and I began to worry for her.
"Harietta, stop! You look like a snowman, that's how pale you are. Being here is making you sick" I said while I stepped in front of her, and placed both of my hands on her shoulders.
"No. I'm not leaving. Tazzy is near... I can... I can feel it..." Harietta replied as she broke free from my grip to continue walking.
*Harietta*
I will not leave my best friend in a place like this. But, Oliver was right. I felt worse than deeper into the Manor we ventured. I felt physically sick from the amount of dark magic that surrounded us. But, I just heard something. Sounded like something being hit and kicked. I looked at Oliver.
"What is that sound?" I asked.
"I don't know, Harietta. Sounds like someone trying to escape from something. Let's take a look!" he responded in a hopeful tone.
We ran over to the source of the banging to find Tazzy completely gagged and bound, only able to kick and punch the walls out of anger and frustration.
"Alohomora!" I said while pointing my Cherry wood wand at the lock.
"Finite Incantatem!" Oliver shouted, pointing at Tazzy. All of her ropes and gags vanished from sight.
"Thank you, both of you. Now, let's teleport out of here" she thanked us in a cheerful tone of voice. She took out her wand and pointed it into the ceiling. We suddenly found ourselves at the Hogwarts courtyard.
*Tasman*
"Guys, I can't thank you enough. Today was just... Traumatising." I spoke while giving them both a group hug. I couldn't be more thankful for getting be out of the Manor.
"It's okay, Tazzy. That's what friends are for." Oliver replied
We walked up the Grand Staircase into our Common Room, and... The tried are still arguing. Even Vera had enough.
"Tazzy!" they all exclaimed and ran over for a hug.
"What's happened?" Susie asked worriedly. I could tell that she. Was worried sick about me this whole time. Her eyes were fixed on an anxious expression and her face was pale from worry.
As Oliver, Harietta and I explained the ordeal... Professor McGonagall walked into the Common Room and looked at all of us.
"Tasman, is everything okay? Susan Sharmons informed me of your
disappearance. I was about to contact the Ministry to send Mr and Mrs Weasley and Mr Potter our to find you." she asked, and she seemed as anxious about me as Susie.
"I'm okay, Professor McGonagall. Honest! Thanks for Harietta and Oliver, I'm safe. Just a bit shook up." I replied, giving her a reassuring smile.
"All of you have been through a lot of difficult and dangerous times throughout this past year and a half. Professor Sprout and I would like to have a conversation with you tomorrow after classes are finished about what you all have been through, and what we can do to support you, as we know that dangerous situations like this can leave scars" she explained.
We stood there in shock. Did Professor McGonagall just say she wanted to support us? She's so reserved and distant from other students that we were taken aback a little.
"Of course, Professor. We'll see you after class tomorrow." I answered while I tried to hold back being surprised.
"I recognise that this is a shock to all of you, especially that I may seem out of touch with a lot of students. But we want to ensure that we can be of support and help. Professor Holly (a made up professor of Arithmancy) is also like to extend that offer to you, and will also be there. Now, off to bed, and we'll see you tomorrow evening. "
"Thank you... Professor..." I answered, while holding all my suspicious expression.
When Professor McGonagall left the Common Room, Susan, Oliver and I discussed this sudden change in McGonagall's attitude. Something felt off, but we couldn't put our finger on what caused this sudden difference in McGonagall's attitude towards us, or students in general.
While it felt like a trap, we attended the meeting the next evening. And all professors who attended were supportive. I explained how the events of the day before left me feeling, and professors (as well as my friends) were very understanding of how I felt. I just couldn't help feeling anxious, on edge and constantly worried. I never slept the night before, still shook up from the events that took place. And struggled with sleep that night as well, knowing that the same thing could happen while we slept kept me up all night.
